It is amazing to see how many Christians go through life with nothing more than being saved. Not that being saved is a bad thing or something to belittle. What I am talking about is the fact that people only experience life, but never abundant life. When I got saved, I wanted all that Jesus had to offer. I understood that His way is better, so I just better follow Him. Well, there are many professed Christians that want Heaven, but never fully grasp “Heaven On Earth”. I want to challenge our readers and others out there. I am working on a journal that I believe will help people learn to have life more abundantly.
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

I can have an abundant Christian life?
Yes you can! That is the plan of God. Please understand that all that God has to offer is life. The devil offers death. It was what he offered when he convinced Eve to eat the fruit. It it was he tried to convince Jesus of during the temptation. It is what the devil tries to offer Christians, by blinding them with the world and the flesh.
Yet we find a strong contrast in what the devil offers and what God offers. His very breath gives life. He gives physical life. He gives Eternal Life. And He gives Abundant Life.
So, What Is The Challenge?
Based on the following Bible Verse:
Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.
~ Daniel 10:12-13
I am challenging myself to 21 Days To Hear From Heaven, A Closer Walk With God
Daniel was in a situation where he needed to hear from Heaven. Daniel decided to fast and seek God to understand the hard things he saw. It took 21 days for an angel to help. During that time, God saw the effort, sacrifice, and commitment Daniel had. Just as Daniel heard from Heaven and was brought into a closer relationship with God; we too can hear from Heaven and be drawn closer to God.
I don’t know about you, but I want that type of prayer life. I want to know that God hears me. I want God to see my effort and commitment. It is this kind of sacrifice and diligence that God blesses. It is when we commit and get serious that we hear from Heaven.
So, You Up For A Challenge?
Starting October 9th, 2011, I will personally start a journey to hear from Heaven. I will post daily updates as to what I am doing. Things like fasting, prayer, soul winning, and Bible will be a part of this journey. When I have personally completed this challenge, I will give a full report as to what I did and the results.
Ultimately, I want to be a better child of my Heavenly Father. In order to know what He wants, I have to hear from Heaven, thus the 21 day challenge. If nothing more, I would have gotten closer to God.
Lastly, Why Publish Such A Challenge?
Well, one reason is to help other Christians find a way to draw closer to God. As I mentioned before, I want to get closer to God. I firmly believe that any true born again child of God has that same desire. But like I also mentioned, many Christians get stuck with life, and never realize the Abundant Life that God offers. There are several reasons for this, but I think a big one is simply that people have never been taught.
It’s amazing. We teach our children to walk very young. Yet, “young” children of God, new converts, aren’t taught to walk with God. They seem to be left to grow on their own. That was the case for me. Even though I had a great pastor and Godly influences, I still struggled to learn how to walk with God. I am not expert at this, but I do know that God has heard from me, and I have heard from God. It is only by the Grace of God that I am where I am in my Christian life.
Well, I want to help others learn how to get a hold of God. I want to help others learn how to pray. I want to help others have revived life. I want to help others learn how to Hear from Heaven. That is why I publish this. Eventually, I want to implement this into the church I pastor. Possibly, a New Years challenge to start the year with God.
