Have you ever had someone that just influenced you beyond what you could imagine? Honestly, can you think of a person, that by the Grace of God, helped form your life? I know that I have had people that formed my life. If it wasn’t for God using them, I don’t know where I’d be. And unlike the world would have you to think, these people are not “popular.” Yet, God has used them to encourage, guide, discipline, teach, and bless me. When I first started preaching (16 years old), I was a very basic preacher. I had heart and  I tried to use the Bible as much as possible. God blessed, and I remember the first time I preached, someone got saved. I remember how happy I was to be used by God. I remember that I began to grow as a preacher, and God continued to bless. I believe God wants to use His people, and if someone steps up, He’ll bless their efforts. Though I was used by God, I find that I have changed in my style of preaching. As a pastor, God has led me to preach a certain way with certain motives for the Glory of God. While God leads, sometimes He does things to make us look up.
