As you know, we started a Daniel Fast in our church. God has been faithful to see how we have “chastened” ourselves before the LORD. Not only has He seen, but He has come through in some Major areas of our church. This goes to show that (1) God is real (2) God honors His Word and (3) God can use a little church. I have not posted for a few days, but that doesn’t mean God stopped working! We had two BIG blessings in the past few days. Yesterday was my official commitment as well as challenge to a 21 Day Challenge To A Closer Walk With God. I had my last “pleasant” meal, drank my last latte and had my last Pepsi. So my wife went shopping to find some foods that are qualified for such a fast. We started the day with bland malt-o-meal, dry toast, and water. If you have been following this blog, then you know that I am starting a 21 day challenge to a closer walk with God. Today is my commitment day. I preached about it at church in the AM service, and taught about it in the PM service. I then publicly committed to a 21 day Daniel fast. It was amazing to see God at work. We had a man get saved in the morning service, several commit to the fast in the PM service, and we took on a total of 3 missionaries for monthly support. It was great!
